Dr. Manton’s research focuses on health status forecasting, long-term care issues, and statistical modeling. His interests include mathematical models of disability, morbidity and mortality using fuzzy metric multi-variate embedded stochastic processes.

He is Research Professor of Demographic Studies, Medical Research Professor of the Duke University Medical Center Department of Community & Family Medicine, and Senior Fellow of the Center for the Study of Aging and Human Development.
