Dr. Ofstedal’s research interests include transitions in physical and cognitive functioning in old-age, utilization of health and long-term care services, intergenerational relations and support, longitudinal survey design and analysis, and comparative research. She is currently directing a collaborative study of aging and health in Asia and is involved in instrument development, data collection, and research for the HRS.
